Frachtadern

Playable Prototype

A transport and economy sim across five eras — lay track, run trains, sign contracts, and try not to go bankrupt.

“Trains, signals, and the quiet panic of your first loan payment. This one is pure childhood me.” — Alex

Frachtadern („freight veins“) is a top-down transport sim where the economy is the real opponent. Raw materials flow to factories, goods flow to cities, and the transport in between is your business. The network costs money every day — expand too fast on credit and you can genuinely fail.

The prototype is far along: 29 milestones in, it already has a full signal system, deadlock warnings, multi-era economy, delivery contracts with reputation, prospecting and player-owned industry. Two trains will never share a tile — the simulation guarantees it.

Key features

  • Single and double track, big multi-platform stations, junction switches
  • Five eras of locomotives and goods
  • Signals, pathfinding, timetables and guaranteed collision-free operation
  • Delivery contracts, reputation, regular customers and moving markets
  • Prospecting, your own mines and factories, growing cities — and real bankruptcy
